NELSON HALL- Box Office Assistant
Location: Cheshire

Box Office Assistant will handle multipleclerical operations for Nelson Hall, including but not limited to: takingphone orders,responding to messages, ticket fulfillment, creating and printing memos, delivering tickets and newsletters around campus, and assisting with programs in Nelson Hall.

Necessary skills include excellent communication and customer service; proficiency withMicrosoftprograms and Google docs; ability to multi-task andlearn new computer applications. Box office staff will beusingvarious internet-based software programs for ticketing, e-mail newsletters, surveys and in-house television memos.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1) Greet customers in person and on the phone.

2) Process ticket orders, answer questions, and provide information in a clear and professional manner.

3) Monitor show attendance and box office sales.

4) Print and mail ticket orders.

5) Assist with online marketing efforts, community calendars, blogs, emails and various social media.

6) Return customer calls within 24 hours.

7) Assist with creating press releases, posters, gift baskets, and other promotional activities related to marketing Nelson Hall Events.

8) Create events in usher sign-up program and prepare assignments lists for the show rights.

9) Provide box office coverage for scheduled Nelson Hall Events.

10) Prepare weekly reports of box office transactions.

11) Assist with setup and breakdown of box office equipment.

12) Balance and secure cash box at the end of shift.

13) May, on occasion, be required to work off-site at promotional events for the theatre.
