Elim Park Baptist Home is seeking a qualified individual to serve as full-time Chaplain/Director of Christian Ministries of a retirement community as well as provide leadership to a team of Resident Chaplains with the goal of creating an environment of spiritual growth for residents and staff.

Elim Park Baptist Home is a leader in serving seniors in retirement living in Connecticut. Since 1906, Elim Park has provided a gracious lifestyle with amenities and services in a Christ centered environment. Today individuals 62 years of age and older are part of a community with 257 Independent living apartments and a full health care center with a solid reputation for quality care. This comprehensive living environment is known as a Life Plan Community (formerly known as a CCRC).

Qualifications:

Advanced degree (minimum Masters) from an accredited theological institution

Person of prayer and strong faith who subscribes to the affirmation of faith of Converge (a.k.a. Baptist General Conference)

Exhibits good morals and Godly character

Gerontology background/education/experience is preferred

Previous Pastoral or Chaplaincy experience preferred

Gifted in administration and preaching

A zeal for souls

Counseling experience preferred
