General Description:

Assists therapists with patient-related activities under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist in accordance with state licensure and Elim Park practices. Also provides technical and administrative duties for the Rehab Department.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Transports residents to and from rehab department for scheduled treatments.

2. Prepares, helps modify and maintains equipment needed for all residents.

3. Assists residents in preparation for treatment.

4. Assists therapists and assistants with resident treatment as directed while maintaining resident safety.

5. Monitors safety of resident during therapists absence.

6. Maintains rehabilitation area in a neat, sanitary and safe manner, while keeping compliant with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocol.

7. Maintains inventory of therapy equipment, including cleaning schedule, maintenance and repair of equipment in an efficient and timely manner.

8. Maintains all rehab supplies and orders/reorders supplies as needed accurately and in a timely manner.

9. Ability to accurately complete clerical responsibilities, such as typing, copying, faxing, mailing, answering the telephone, and data entry.

10. Utilizes computer software and telephone skills for outpatient rehabilitation insurance verification and maintains Part B tracking system.

11. Facilitate and obtain outpatient copay/collections at time of visit

12. Assists with maintaining rehabilitation marketing schedule and assist marketer with preparing for appointments which includes contacting physician offices to establish appointments, organize appropriate marketing materials and completes arrangement of any catering.

13. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested in order to maintain a high level of service including providing clinical documentation for insurance updates.

14. Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.

15. Performs any other job related duties as directed by supervisor.

16. Effectively interacts, responds and treats with respect all residents, family members of residents, out-patients, staff and people from the community with the best interest of Elim Park in mind.

17. Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements

18. Responsible for the coordination of equipment, calibration of tracking, ordering equipment and supplies as needed, the completion of temperature/cleaning logs, physician signature and date tracking.

19. Performs technical audits of charts and completeness of documentation prior to filing in the hard patient charts.
