Position Description:

This position is responsible for providing leadership direction and coordination of MRS programs targeted to family reunification services for migrating and refugee children. Provides vision and leadership regarding MRS support of unaccompanied, undocumented children and ensures MRS interest in these children are effectively represented and advocated. Assists in the management of grants within Childrens Services and supervises staff responsible for placing cases and increasing the capacity of MRS to provide family reunification services to unaccompanied, undocumented youth through efforts in network expansion and increasing knowledge of network providers. Contributes to the Bishops strategic plan for the Conference. Demonstrates willingness and ability to understand, respect and contribute to the USCCB mission and to fulfill job duties in accordance with its Catholic identity.

Requirements:

Educational Level: Graduate Degree- Social Services or related field (required)

Major Field/Specialty: Social Work, Psychology, Child Welfare, Social Service Administration, etc

Language Requirement: (if any) Excellent written and verbal English language skills required. Spanish language skills preferred but not required.

Other Specialized Training: (i.e. word processing, personal computer, knowledge of Catholic Church, etc.)

Type and Nature of Professional Experience:

Number of Years Required: Minimum of 5-7 years of post-graduate, professional experience.
