Our busy corporate headquarters seeks a detail-oriented, customer service-focused Medical Records specialist. Our ideal candidate is passionate about people and passionate about the world of behind-the-scenes health care.

This multi-tasking master must be a pro at staying on top of deadlines and following through and following-up. Strong work ethic and customer service emphasis are imperative.

Primary responsibilities:

1) Efficiently processes all admission paperwork and initiates patient records.

2) Monitors all admission records for required documentation and follows up on missing and/or incomplete documentation to assure that it is submitted and completed in a timely manner.

3) Receives and reviews all release of information requests for validity and compliance with current laws. Consistently demonstrates a working knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures that govern the functioning of the Medical Records Department.

4) Pulls medical records as requested for review by staff. Maintains a record control system for all requested charts that facilitates efficient chart location.

Qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Certification in Medical Records preferred. 2-3 years ofROI Medical Recordsexperience;home careexperience preferred. Working knowledge of Medical Records computer system, plus keyboard proficiency. Must possess excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and customer relation skills.
