Mental Health Relief Counselor
Location(s): Residential (Arlington), Skills Building (Arlington and Fairfax), Crisis Stabilization (Fairfax) and Targeted Case Management (Anne Arundel County, MD)
CR is seeking talented Mental Health Relief Staff to fill one or more of the above positions. The positions provide comprehensive, recovery oriented mental health supports to individuals. Candidates will support adults with a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including co-occurring diagnosis.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains a diverse caseload of individuals with acute, chronic mental illness;
Documents services provided and progress;
Collaborates with service professionals as participant as part of an Interdisciplinary Team (IDT);
Consults with professionals on a variety of needs including delivery of services for clinically complex cases;
Complete all documentation effectively, thoroughly, and in a timely manner. Maintain clinical and financial documentation in compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Must have valid drivers license;
Must have an Associates degree in a human services field and 1-year experience working with individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness, or;
An Associates degree or higher degree in an unrelated field and at least 3-years experience providing services to individual with a diagnosis of mental illness, gerontology, or special needs, or; Bachelors degree in Human Services field and a preferred 1 year of experience working with individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness.
