QMHP-A for Residential Crisis Stabilization Unit
Community Residences is seeking several QMHP-A's for full and part time benefits eligible positions for CR's community-based crisis stabilization unit (CARE CSU). The QMHP will provide on-site crisis stabilization to adults in psychiatric crisis. CARE provides short-term (typically two-weeks) crisis stabilization for up to 6 adults who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis as well as occasional alcohol and social detox for those with co-occurring disorders.
Preferred applicants will:
Be registered as a QMHP-A with the Virginia Board of Counseling or commitment to do so by December 31st, 2018.
Possess at least 1 year of supervised experience working with adults with mental health diagnoses (required).
Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the Human Services fields (for example, social work, psychology, counseling...) (required).
Have experience running MH groups (preferred).
Have experience utilizing active listening skills.
Be familiar with CBT (preferred).
Be well organized and detail oriented.
Possess strong time management skills.
Have a strong work ethic.
Possess ability to be flexible.
Possess a strong ability to communicate effectively with individuals, medical and pharmacy personnel, families, and co-workers.
