Budget Analyst  (Regular Full Time)
Location: Norfolk, VA

ADMINISTRATIVE OPERATIONS/BUDGET AND COMPLIANCE

Summary  Performs general budget management work directed toward budget development, monitoring, and reporting; also performs specific accounting, financial, or budgeting responsibilities for an assigned operating division.  Participates in the annual organization-wide budget development process.  Assists in coordinating and administering the assigned division’s program budget development process.  Assists in administering and monitoring the division's approved budget, working with division staff to resolve budget issues.  Performs administrative detail work.

Qualifications  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Public Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or a related field: and one to two years of progressively responsible budgeting experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 

Candidates with public-sector budgeting or accounting experience will be preferred.  Candidates with extensive spreadsheet and budget-related software applications will be preferred.

Annual Pay Range  $32,219.20 - $56,160.00
