Food Service Cook is responsible for the food preparation and service of all meals, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas and adhering to a food service schedule.

Duties:

• Assist in the food preparation and service to youth and KidsTLC Staff.
• Assist in maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist in managing the inventory and storage of food products.
• Maintain all paperwork related to food production and service.
• Able to work weekend and evening shifts.

Experience:Two years working experience in residential, institutional, or commercial food service preferred. Knowledge or experience with National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) policies and procedures.

Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required and must be 18 years of age or older. Successful completion of the Kansas State Department of Educations (KSDEs) food safety training requirement within six months of employment.
