Culinary Services Kitchen Manager (Full Time)

Essential Function: Maintains Culinary Service operations by coordinating production, purchasing and inventory controls. Monitors food costs and accounts for variances in the key areas of food, janitorial and paper expenses. Coordinating departmental sanitation program. Assisting in the development and maintenance of quality catering program. Handling all responsibilities in a professional manner. Maintaining positive resident relations and high degree of satisfaction with residents, guests and staff.
Qualifications & Experience: Those interested must be able to work as an integral part of the culinary services management team, to develop and maintain rapport with supervisor, staff members, administration and residents. Five or more years of Culinary Service experience is required. Must be able to follow and give written and oral instructions, and otherwise communicate and receive communications orally and in writing. Must be able to extend recipes. Candidates must already possess, or test for ServSafe Certification within 90 days of hire. A degree in Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts is preferred by not mandatory in lieu of solid culinary experience. Knowledge of various computer applications is required. Interested candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays.
