The Summer Analyst role is open to undergraduate students that are currently juniors and masters degree students on track to graduate in December 2018 or the spring of 2019. Specifically, AV&Co. is seeking:
Passionate problem solvers with analytical minds and strong communication skills
Strong quantitative backgrounds able to perform mental math and defend any key assumptions
Familiarity with foundational business knowledge, sound business intuition regarding key considerations and drivers of performance
Adept at breaking down complex problems into structured, manageable concepts and approaches while maintaining strong quality control and attention to detail
Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts via verbal, written, and visual means in a manner that is easily digestible by senior / executive audiences

As a Summer Analyst at Altman Vilandrie & Co. (AV&Co.), you will gain an introductory exposure to strategy consulting. The summer program will run from June August in the Boston, MA and San Francisco, CA offices. Over the course of the program, you will be involved in every aspect of our consulting practice. While a summer analysts specific role will vary from project to project, responsibilities include:
Developing novel, data-driven methodologies and owning execution of solving complex client problems
Building a variety of rigorous business models, market sizings, and quantitative excel-based tools to be delivered to (and used by) clients on an on-going basis
Conducting both primary and secondary research to understand market demand drivers, competitive landscapes, and technology trends; methods include state-of-the-art survey design & analysis as well as primary interviews with subject matter experts
Assisting with synthesis and presentation of key findings and recommendations to our clients
Developing content-specific knowledge that will continue to expand and evolve through your time at AV&Co.
