The Arc of Orange County is currently seeking full-time NYS Certified Teaching Assistants for its pre-school program serving children with developmental disabilities. Full-Time with benefits.
Qualifications:
- New York State Teacher Assistant Certification Required
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Experience working with children who have special needs
Responsibilities Include:
- Work with students as indicated by their IEP’s and in accordance with instructions from the supervising teacher
- Assist students with personal hygiene
- Accurately records the daily individual goal work of students as per instructions from the Teacher and as directed by the IEP
- Collecting data
- Participates in staff trainings
- Complies with incident reporting procedures
