School Psychologist (Full Time)
Location: Orange County, NY
School Psychologist
The education department at the Arc of Orange County seeks a full-time School Psychologist to work as part of the team to support the children we serve in our preschool program. Join us and be a part of a group of dedicated educators whose goal is to have each student achieve their goals and be successful members of the community.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessments (IQ, Adaptive Behavior, etc.)
- Be a part of the PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) team and participate in workshops and trainings for staff, parents and other preschool programs throughout the county.
- Developing and implement Behavior Plans
- Attend CPSE/CSE meetings
- Facilitate parent groups
- Train staff in behavior management techniques
- Fulfill counseling needs for students according to their IEP’s
Qualifications:
- NYS School Psychology Certification required
- Master’s Degree required
- NYS License to practice Psychology required
- Strong background in Positive Behavior Intervention Supports
- Experience working with children ages 3-5
- Experience developing and implementing Behavior Plans
