We havedirect care positions throughout the Shelby County area, serving individuals with various needs and abilities.MUST BE MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION CERTIFIED WITHIN 6 MONTHS & MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS (7AM-7PM OR 7PM-7AM).
Direct Support Professionals to provide assistance to people with developmental disabilities in a medical environment. A Direct Support Professionals main role is to assist individuals in becoming valued, active and respected members of their communities. CNA License or 1 year of total care experience required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
Assisting in maintaining a clean, safe living environment
Meal preparation
Assistance with personal hygiene
Transporting consumers to activities and appointments
Assisting each individual in promoting social and emotional growth
Assisting with personal care
Assisting in the development of Individual Futures Plans
Facilitating community participation
Advocating for the rights of people with disabilities
Providing leadership to other staff
Each applicant should have an interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities and empowering them to make choices, establish meaningful relationships, and becoming active members of their community. Qualifications may vary; experience in disabled clientele recommended. A high school diploma/equivalent,valid drivers license, proof of auto insurance and CPR/1stAid are required. Local and national background check will be completed.
