Goodwill of the Heartland – Iowa City Employment Services, is seeking a creative, energetic Intern who can assist area businesses with supporting individuals with barriers in their jobs. We believe that our communities are strengthened when people with barriers are included in the workforce. If you believe this and can bring advocacy and teaching skills that will increase successful employment for people with barriers in our community, we want to hear from you! Our employment services teams are collaborative, and rely on team members to be positive, self -directed, and professional as both a consultant in the community and as a team player. As an advocate, this position requires initiative and creativity and a belief that anyone who wants to work can develop skills that will be valued in a workplace. Various schedules available. Applicants will need reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of required auto insurance coverage, and must pass motor vehicle record screening, dependent adult and child abuse, and criminal history background checks.
