Inpatient Occupational Therapist  (Part Time)

A staff Occupational Therapist assumes responsibility in the daily activities of therapy services. This includes the potential for evaluating and developing treatment plans for inpatients, skilled swing bed, IRU, outpatients and home health patients. A staff therapist administers occupational therapy treatment to patients as defined in the Kansas Occupational Therapy Practice Act. A staff therapist has the responsibility for the overall direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of COTAs and supportive staff and students in their area of rehabilitation services. In addition, the staff therapist is involved in documenting as necessary and appropriate, while also assisting with, or actively participating in, HFAP and safety procedures for the department/organization. 

This position is supervised by a Physical Therapist.

This position reports directly to the PT/OT Supervisor

This position is hourly (non-exempt)

There are both FT/PT positions available.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and experience:

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and/or be state licensed.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience preferred.
• A member of the AOTA and/or Kansas Occupational Therapy Association (KOTA) preferred. 

Licensure, registration or certification:

• Must have Kansas State Licensure.
• Must have, or immediately obtain BLS certification.
