Surgery Scheduler RN/LPN – Surgical Specialists  (Full Time)
Location: Surgical Specialists - 800 Medical Center Drive, Newton, KS 67114

Serves as a patient coordinator/liaison for surgery scheduling. This role monitors, fulfills and updates incoming requests by way of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and forms.Effectively communicates with patients, patients family, staff and providers to assure needs are met in a timely manner. Accurately conveys, collects and documents information regarding, pre-op history/ appointments, referrals, pre- authorizations. The ability to adhere to the HIPAA regulations, procedures and protocols set forth by the organization is mandatory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and experience:

• Medical Terminology Course
• Insurance or coding claims processing preferred.
• Surgery scheduling/Authorization experience preferred.
• Associate degree or some college preferred.
• Licensed Nurse
• Other healthcare certifications appreciated.

Licensure and certifications:

• RN/LPNPreferred
