Location: 112 N. Broad St.
Department: Mobile Crisis Response
Purpose: A MMPSprovides behavioral health crisis intervention and prevention services to adults, adolescents and children in an age appropriate and culturally competent manner. MMPS? use specialized clinical and/or medical techniques to manage persons exhibiting behavioral or mental health challenges in a variety of community settings. An MMPS will:
- Administer medications prescribed verbally by an on-call psychiatrist
- Performmedical, clinical, or mental healthassessments &evaluationsas necessary
- Work with first responders in emergency situations involving behavioral health clients, to determine need for psychiatric consults, on-site interventions and applications for commitments.
- Provide crisis intervention in atypical settings i.e.- schools, temporary or transient placement homes while cofacilitating with partner agencies (i.e.- PSD, OSH, DHS, PCA)
- Provide family intervention in clients? homes in emergency situations.
- Make recommendations on treatment planning and client dispositionwith the guidance of theMental Health Emergency Services Coordinator.
Hours:Sun-Tues; 3p-11p; Sat-Sun 7a-3p; schedule isnegotiable; probation rotates among three shifts

- Can be respectful and sensitive mediators and support for families of individuals in crisis.
- Have in-depth familiarity with the behavioral health system and can interface with all levels & agents in the system.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nursing program and currently certified/licensed in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Experience in crisis prevention/intervention in psychiatric emergency services, family counseling, inpatient treatment or as part of a Mobile Emergency Team.
- Possess a valid, state-issued driver's license.
