POSITION OVERVIEW: An LPN dispenses prescribed doses of methadone to patients on an assigned shift and maintains complete, accurate records in accordance with performance standards for drug & alcohol treatments programs and agency policy. The duties include:
- Administer methadone doses to patients and monitor the behavior of patients at the dispensing station.
- Maintain accurate narcotic records; prepare new methadone orders per physician request.
- Prepare take-home medication bottles & record information
- Ensure pharmacy area is clean and medications are secured in the safe at end of medication dispensing.
- Schedule patient physical examinations for physicians.
- Complete all position medication orders accurately a& timely, assist clinic physicians with physical examinations.
- File or document appropriate patient records in medical chart/EHR.
- Review all medical charts for content compliance.
