Kreilkamp Trucking, Inc. is a 5th generation trucking company that began operations in 1935. We are headquartered in Allenton, Wisconsin with locations in Horicon, Wisconsin; Edison, New Jersey; and Manteca, California.

 

Today, there are over 300 active drivers, traveling over 18M miles per year.  Our fleet is made up of over 300 tractors and over 1,000 trailers. The state-of-the-art equipment includes 2018 or newer tractor models and a combination of refrigerated, dry, and flatbed trailers.

Job Description

Truck Technition, Trailer Technition  (Full Time)
Location: Allenton, WI 53002

Looking for 2nd Shift Truck Tech with Lead potential. 2:30 to 11:00 pm.    OT pay after 40 hours/week, and shift differential pay! $400 Yearly tool allowance! 
 
We are looking for mechanically inclined candidates with good attention to detail for the positions of Diesel Technician and Trailer Technician. The primary duties of shop technicians include performing diagnostic tests on our equipment to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components.
Shop Technicians need to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles and interact with drivers on a daily basis.
 
Shop Technician Responsibilities
  • Running diagnostic tests on equipment (tractors and trailers).
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results.
  • Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
  • Checking vehicle lighting systems.
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
  • Maintaining a parts inventory.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
Shop Technician Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Knowledge of tractor and/or trailer components.
  • Good diagnostic skills.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
