Lead Technician  (Full Time)
Location: Neenah Service Center

Summary Description:

Under the supervision of the Supervisor or Service Center Manager, the Trailer Lead is a key member of our supervisory team and fulfills a critical role in our growth plans. This position is responsible for the overall accountability for leading a heavy-duty trailer shop team. Responsibilities include the planning, scheduling, performing, directing, and evaluating the repair and servicing of equipment. The Lead must routinely advise, consult, and help team members. They are also responsible for equipment repair schedules and records, including meeting any deadlines or requests. The trailer Lead will be responsible for developing a service minded shop while cultivating a superior safety culture.

Major Duties/Essential Functions:

 

Technical Skills:

Skilled in all types of tooling and equipment. Good communication skills, both written and verbal to create effective interpersonal relationships with coworkers. Ability to work in all types of weather, at times may be very warm and cold. Ability to follow written and oral instructions, read schematics and work with computerized programs for documenting purposes.

Ability to learn and apply the following technical skills is needed to successfully complete the requirements of this position:

·         Mechanical abilities:

o   Fabrication

o   Grinding

o   Routine welding Mechanical aptitude:

o   Fuel injection systems

o   On-board computers

o   Batteries

o   Electrical networks

o   Ignition systems

Education/Experience:

Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills will qualify for the position. High school diploma or GED as it relates to qualifications is an asset. An Associate in degree in Mechanics, Welding or Construction or related area of study is preferred.
