Job Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for HealthCore Clinic, Inc. (HCC) is responsible for managing the financial operations of the Clinic. The CFO reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This position will supervise day-to-day finances, coordinate staffing, oversee billing, developing financial strategies, managing budgets, analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and overseeing the accounting department.

Essential Functions:

The CFO will partner with other members of management and is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the program aspects of the annual budget in conjunction with the COO and CEO. The CFO plays a critical role in developing and implementing the Clinics financial strategy. As a member of the leadership team, the CFO will be an advisor to the CEO, evaluating and assisting with the financial plans and economic modeling. The CFO will engage the board finance, audit, and investment committees around issues, trends, and changes in the operating models and operational delivery. The CFO will review and assess long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with HCC strategic plan, especially as the organization considers sponsorships, acquisitions, and collaborations with external organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute HCCs financial strategy, aligning it with the organizations goals and objectives

Oversee the financial planning and budgeting process, including forecasting, analyzing financial performance, and identifying areas for improvement

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and financial reporting obligations

Lead the finance team, providing guidance and direction in areas such as financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management

Evaluate and optimize HCCs capital structure, including capital allocation, cost of capital, and liquidity management

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in health regulations that may impact HCCs financial operations and mitigate financial risks

Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including, but not limited to daily deposits, review of vendor invoices for payment, and other cash flow management functions

Maintain general ledger system including recording of clinic billings and payroll allocations

Prepare financial grant reports according to grant requirements

Prepare annual federal tax return form 990, regulatory reports (UDSR, FSR, Form 272, etc., Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports

Qualifications and Requirements:

Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar senior financial management role within the Health industry

Experience in healthcare and non-profit accounting including grant tracking is preferred

Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model

Exceptional leadership and managerial abilities, with a track record of effectively leading finance teams and driving organizational success

Sound understanding of risk management, capital planning, and financial forecasting

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

Proficient in financial software and tools

Extremely organized, able to multi-task and work under pressure in a team environment

MBA in finance or accounting is required, minimum five (5) years progressive financial management experience, three (3) years must be in the healthcare industry within a senior financial leadership role

CPA designation is strongly preferred
