TLC was founded in 1969 by three families who wanted to improve the local options for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over the last five decades, TLC has grown in response to the needs of the community, and today serves more than 600 individuals and families across the Triangle and surrounding areas through a diverse range of on-site and community-based programs, including educational services, respite care, early childhood intervention, autism therapies, community living support, and residential living. Job Description

Community Residential Direct Support Professional  (Full Time, Part Time, and PRN)
Department: Comm Res-Community Residential

Brief Description of Work Performed:

Caring for individuals with severe/profound developmental disabilities and assisting with all daily life activities. 

Minimum Education / Experience:

High school graduate or GED certificate. No experience is necessary.  Paid training to all who apply.  Preference is given to applicants with training or experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. TLC will provide training for these positions. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

A valid North Carolina driver’s license is required.

Job Stability: 

No layoffs, overtime pay, guaranteed hours, job security, additional bonus pay for working shifts outside the normal schedule. 

New Pay Rate:$12.80 - $13.30 per hour. 

New CNA Rate:  $14.80 -$15.30 per hour

Hours/Days of Work:

Full-time, Part-time, and PRN shifts - 1st, 2nd, 3rd,, and weekend shifts available.  Must be available to work alternating weekends.

 Benefits:
