Registered Behavior Technician RBT / AT  (Periodic)
Department: ABA-Applied Behavior Analysis

Minimum Education/ Experience:

High School diploma or national equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution (GED) is required; college degree is preferred. Preferred experience in Autism Services, Education, Child Development, Psychology and/or Applied Behavior Analysis. Proven work experience with individuals who have a diagnosis of autism and/or are behaviorally challenged.  Family work is required.   Autism Technicians have the opportunity to become nationally certified as a Registered Behavior Technician.   TLC will support eligible candidates to obtain their 40 hours of coursework and will coach the individuals to pass the exam.   RBT is not required, but preferred.

Brief Description of Work Performed:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and Autism Technician (AT) function primarily as a direct support instructor of autism specific individualized interventions utilizing the fundamentals of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The RBT/AT will be supervised by a Licensed Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Responsible for implementation of skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs utilizing ABA principles, as designed by the Psychologist and BCBA. RBT/ATs Implement programming in one on one or group settings. Collects and records data to track client behavior throughout intervention sessions, according to the guidelines provided by their clinical supervisor.  Daily documentation of interventions is required in our electronic medical record.   Works collaboratively and demonstrates a professional attitude with clinical team members including; Supervisor, RBTs, ATs, parents, and other professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care for the individual.  Flexibility in schedule is available.    This is a periodic position.     Interventions are provided in the clinic, community, and in private homes according to the individual client needs.    We provide service for the lifespan.   

Hours/Days of Work:

Schedule determined by Chief Program Officer; periodic position can grow to part-time; will work in the individual’s home and community.

Pay Rate:  TBD

Determined by experience; non-exempt position; PTO for part-time employees; excellent benefits package includes: medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, paid holidays, PTO, 403b retirement plan for full-time employees.
