TLC was founded in 1969 by three families who wanted to improve the local options for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over the last five decades, TLC has grown in response to the needs of the community, and today serves more than 600 individuals and families across the Triangle and surrounding areas through a diverse range of on-site and community-based programs, including educational services, respite care, early childhood intervention, autism therapies, community living support, and residential living.
