Intern, Methods Engineering  (Full Time)
Department: All Openings, Engineering

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role will be responsible for individual and team assignments and will work with cross-functional teams providing technical and engineering process support partnering with Methods and Industrial Engineers. Assists with continuous process improvements to existing aircraft and components process planning utilized by manufacturing for the production of fabricated parts, sub-assemblies, aircraft final assembly, and completion.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provide technical and engineering administrative support to Methods and Industrial Engineers

Input items, routing, and BOMS into LN

Provide planning for Non-Conformances (NCs)

Work with Methods Planners and Engineers to maintain generic aircraft line station structures in LN

Assist with continuous process improvements to existing aircraft, components, and process details

Participate in team meetings to gain technical knowledge and functional collaboration techniques

Assist in solving methods and tooling problems

Prepare the work instructions for production

Participate in cross functional continuous improvement initiatives

Assist in setting up work cells and tooling requirements

Perform other related duties as required

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience

Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, methods engineering, or a related field.

Must have a high GPA with academic status in good standing, along with training in common engineering computer programs.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and management.

Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges, with a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.

Preferred

Rising Sophomore standing in related engineering degree major

Familiarity with CAD models, Teamcenter, TC vis, NX and Lean Manufacturing Principles
