Environmental Safety and Health Specialist  (Full Time)
Location: Vero Beach, FL

Position Summary:

Daily review of facility for pick-up, processing, packing, and storage, of hazardous and non-hazardous waste created by manufacturing operations. Maintenance of facility Hazardous Waste containment areas for compliance with Federal and State environmental regulations. Periodic monitoring / recording of various environmental control panel readings, and other environmental measurements using appropriate equipment. Preparation / loading of hazardous and non-hazardous manufacturing waste for shipment to certified waste disposal contractors.

Required Education And Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering/Sciences, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, one of the pure sciences (chemistry, biology or physics) or an engineering discipline (electrical, chemical, mechanical or industrial). Initial and recurrent annual training in Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120 and 40 CFR 265.16. The ideal candidate for this position would be someone that’s a recent college graduate looking to start their career in the Safety and Health field.
