Summary: Installs machinery and equipment in industrial establishment by safely and consistently performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


a.        Has practical knowledge of Regulatory Compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations, CSE, Inc. Rules and Regulations and Site-Specific Rules and Regulations; works within current DOT regulations.

b.       Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.

c.        Assemble and install equipment, such as conveyors, using hand tools and power tools. Construct foundation for machines using building materials such as wood, cement, and steel. Assemble machinery with bolts, welds, rivets, and fastens them to foundation or other structures.

d.       Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs.

e.        Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment. Dismantle machinery or equipment, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.

f.        Select cables, ropes, chains, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved. Attach load with grappling devices such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains, to crane hook.

g.       Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment.

h.       Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy; Use logical step-by-step procedures in work and make decisions based on measurable information


Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma


Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, blueprints, and schematic drawings.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.                               

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required.


Other Skills and Abilities: This position requires the use of emotional control and the ability to accept responsibility and sustain attention.


Other Qualifications: Must be able to travel.
