Summary Assigns cranes, trucks, equipment and drivers for crane rental or conveyance of freight by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

a. Understands and complies with CSE, Inc. Safety Program, rules, regulations and updates; Understands OSHA and DOT standards and works within regulations; completes IFTA reports

b. Compiles list of cranes, trucks and equipment; assigns cranes, trucks and equipment according to factors such as capacity and type of lift, driver/operator skill and experience, freight or job requirements, and preference of customer in order to safely perform service.

c.  Issues keys, record sheets, and credentials to drivers; investigates overdue vehicles.

d. Tracks inventory and stock, sets up equipment folders, orders parts for all branches

e. Records time of departure, destination, cargo, rigging, directions, and expected time of return; maintains record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses.

f.  Expedites billing process and makes collection calls on past due accounts.

g. Assumes responsibility for execution of department/division goals to attain corporate goals and objectives.

h. Maintains DMV Hauling Permits for all rolling equipment

i. Process billing on a daily basis.

j. Answers all incoming phone calls to Crane Department from customers and route the information to the appropriate member of Crane Service Department; investigate complaints and develop solutions.


Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in crane rental or construction equipment sales/rental preferred.


Knowledge: Professional and technical knowledge, maintained by attending technical workshops, reviewing professional and industry-related publications, establishing personal networks, etc.


Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information to management.


Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills: Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver's License.                


Other Qualifications: Must be able to travel.
