Summary: Coordinates the company's equipment maintenance operations. Schedules and prioritizes equipment repairs and maintenance in collaboration with Crane Managers. Tracks progress of work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Has practical knowledge of Regulatory Compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations, CSE, Inc. Rules and Regulations and Site-Specific Rules and Regulations
a. Understands OSHA and DOT standards relating to transportation and fleet safety and that working safely is a job requirement
2. Assumes responsibility of organizing, planning and prioritizing work
a. Familiar with supervisory personnel, job activity to be performed, hazard communication program, safety rules and regulations, and emergency action procedures
b. Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive instructions.
3. Assumes responsibility of inspecting equipment, structures and/ or material
a. Dispatches the maintenance and repair of equipment and company vehicles in the shop and at project sites
b. Ensures the maintenance shop is properly maintained, functional, and clean
c. Establishes and monitors preventative maintenance schedule on equipment and company vehicles
d. Efficiently manages the parts, tools, and supply inventory for the shop and field mechanics
e. Determines cost efficient ways of scheduling and of purchasing parts, tools, and supplies
f. Establishes service schedules on equipment and company vehicles for warranty compliance
g. Tracks the production and activity of the mechanic workforce for effective job costing
h. Manages the inbound and outbound inspection process for equipment and company vehicles
i. Develops and maintains files on all equipment and company vehicles for historical and compliance data
j. Exercises good interpersonal skills by gladly assisting other to accomplish the work of the company, even if it is outside the scope of regular duties
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, excellent customer relation skills, computer skills and willingness to learn new technology, working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions, especially in construction equipment.
Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License and be able to meet CSE MVR driver criteria.
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience related to equipment shop/organization. Experience delegating and scheduling is preferred. Experience working with cranes/heavy trucks a plus.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Able to calculate load weight and select appropriate rigging.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
