Reports to:                                       Chief Banking Officer

Education requirements:             High School Diploma or GED

Experience or Skill requirements: 

Identify, Analyze, Sell, Support Cash Management Products and Services to established business clients and targeted prospective business clients.

  • Assist business clients with the maximum use of their business funds
  • Ability to create written and verbal cash management proposals
  • Cold-calling/Prospecting for acquisition of business deposits
  • Ability to make effective presentations to business clients and prospects

 

Highly competent and confident in a sales and service environment

 

  • Able to be an integral part of working directly with all business lines within Summit Community Bank
  • Must possess and exhibit a professional manner and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have an advanced knowledge of computer skills to include and not limited to specific programs, excellent typing skills, math skills, and analytical skills
  • Must be a good listener and problem solver
  • Other services as needed such as Professional/Community Organization Participation
  • Must have equivalent commercial banking experience
  • Must possess initiative and have excellent organizational skills
  • Be able to implement, plan and execute overall bank strategic goals
  • Effective at executing plans, conducting training sessions, debriefs, coaching and dynamic team building
  • Must be conductive to an environment of multiple priorities and rapid change
  • Must maintain compliance to the policies and procedures of the company and the regulations of the financial services industry

 

Duties:

 

  • Manage all facets of Cash Management including:

    • Promote Summit products and services

    • Risk Management

    • Conducts analysis of banking services with a focus on cash management services

    • Make sure the “Service Beyond Expectations” goals are met and exceeded

  • Coordinate Calling with Market Managers/Community Bank Manager/Commercial Loan Officers/Trust&Wealth Management Officers to perform outside sales calls to existing and prospect business clients

  • Schedule appointments

  • Create written and verbal proposals

  • Maintain database of business prospects, calling activity and pipeline in Summit’s client relationship/referral program; Summit Connections

  • Update existing business clients in Summit’s client relationship program; Summit Connections

  • Coordinate with Chief Financial Officer on all RFP –Request for Proposal

    • Submit all RFP on behalf of SCB

  • Promoting Summit Community Bank throughout the community and local markets

  • Develop and maintain centers of influence referral sources

  • Make joint prospects calls with FIS Merchant Rep for acquisition of business deposits

  • Make referrals to Summit’s other business lines, Commercial, Trust and Wealth Management and Retail Banking to cross-sell

  • Primary contact for all Commercial Products and Services

    • Revenue and pricing strategies

  • Develop and Implement strategies to achieve growth of the Commercial Portfolio

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Cash Management Officer will perform a broad variety of customer service-driven tasks.   Ability to identify and cross-sell next Summit service or product.  The employee will also be asked to educate and profile clients using bank systems.  The employee will be asked to organize their work to include but not limited to complete RDC installation tracking, plans, follow up client calls and client retention.  Adheres to all policy and procedures of the company.  Follows operational procedures to include security and privacy at all branches.  Cash Management Officer will make our promise of “Service Beyond Expectations” Begins with Me real and believable by following our defined principles.

 

Relationships:

 

The Cash Management Officer is an important part of our Summit team and will embrace each employee’s expertise and contributions.  They will be expected to inspire collaboration among co-workers and clients, assist others and be aware of what needs to be done and take action to improve the quality of service to our clients.  They are expected to work closely and build a collaborative partnership with Market Managers/Community Bank Managers, Loan Officers, Trust &  Wealth Management, HQ employees and others at Summit.  The Commercial Relationship Representative will work closely with and coach Market Managers/Community Bank Managers in the areas of Cash Management Services.   The Cash Management Officer will communicate and coordinate with Market Managers, CSR’s, Commercial Lenders and Trust & Wealth Management employees to meet assigned goals and referrals.  The Cash Management Officer will work directly with the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Retail Specialist/Security Officer and the Contact Center Manager.   The Cash Management Officer will be a role model and representative of the retail team at Summit Community Bank.

 

The Cash Management Officer will work closely with the Commercial Relationship Representative will work directly with and report to the Chief Banking Officer.
