Job Description

Teller III  (Full Time)
Select Location to Apply: Williston (Harvest Lane)

Position Title: Teller 3 

Location: Harvest Lane, Williston, VT

Hours: 40 hours a week.  Scheduled between 7:45 AM and 6:15 PM Monday-Friday. This includes a rotating Saturday at least one per month. Saturdays are worked at our Harvest Lane (Williston) or St. Albans branches.

Position description:

Acts as a resource for teller staff in support of member inquiries and staff questions about policies and procedures.  Performs Teller 4 duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the branch teller line.

Specific duties include:

  • Perform professional, friendly, efficient, and accurate teller transactions
  • Follows policies and procedures established for the teller position

  • Listens for and demonstrates empathy for members needs

  • Refers member to member service staff when an obvious benefit is identified

  • Supports member and teller staff inquiries through a sound understanding of teller systems, financial transactions and through an understanding of NEFCU products and services

  • Actively participates in staff meetings by sharing ideas and suggestions

  • Assists teller staff with member, processing, and policy and procedural questions

  • Makes judgments related to more complex teller transactions including larger withdrawals, the acceptability of negotiable items and deposit holds.

  • Actively participant in all staff meetings by sharing ideas and suggestions

  • Opening, closing and daily balancing of the branch, as needed, to support the Teller 4

  • Assist with training of new teller staff in branch environment

 

Qualifications:

  •  Accurate cash handling skills
  • Proficiency with personal computers

  • Strong attention to detail, upholds teamwork, problem solving proficiency and exceptional verbal and written skills
