Fiber Optic Splicer - Experienced (Full Time)
Sertex LLC is looking for qualified, experienced candidates for Fiber Optic Splicer positions. The Fiber Optic Technician is primary responsible for cable/enclosure prepping, fusion splicing, verification testing, troubleshooting and fiber optic cable repair. The Fiber Optic Technician will be required to review, create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate splicing and field notes along with supporting project timelines, in addition to performing end to end OTDR testing, analyzing test results for acceptable loss readings, and providing close out packages complete with pictures, formal loss results, and redlined schematic documentation. Other duties and responsibilities may be required and/or assigned on a project basis. The candidate will usually work independently and is responsible for their own day to day operations, production, quality control, and maintenance of assigned company equipment. The Fiber Optic Technician is responsible for maintaining their safety by regarding company procedures, electrical safety, fall protection, confined space safety, and road work safety setups.
