SUD Counselor - 12:30-9pm (Full Time)
Vista Hill is all about serving people. As a dynamic community-based organization, we develop and maintain a diverse array of quality services and programs throughout San Diego County. Our programs range from brief early intervention and preventive work with troubled young people, to treatment with school age kids, to long-term special education and training for individuals with developmental disabilities. We can be found assisting families in very difficult situations in many of our communities large and small, rural and suburban. You will see our caring staff working with challenging populations that most other agencies shy away from in areas that are conveniently located to the people we serve.
Please note: Applicants without a current AOD registration/certification will not be considered.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Bridges North Regional Recovery Center (NCRRC) Program is designed for adults seeking to make the personal changes necessary to live a clean and sober productive life. The structured treatment services provide the individual with counseling and support components that include case management services, individualized treatment and recovery plans, weekly group meetings, education, and aftercare follow-up services. The program offers the recovery knowledge and tools to rebuild a healthy lifestyle. The program’s required participation is based on assessment, which is typically a minimum of six months to nine months and includes an initial diagnostic assessment. Clinical staff includes licensed mental health clinicians, certified drug and alcohol counselors and a consulting psychiatrist.
SUD Counselors support clients through home, treatment site or community visits. They help the client gain access to multiple service agencies, such as recovery services, health, housing, transportation, education, prenatal care and any other needed resources. · Refer clients to local resources (including prenatal care, drug treatment, housing, and social service agencies).
