THE PROGRAM

The Stein Adult Day Programs serve individuals that have developmental disabilities to teach them basic life skills by supervising them on daily "outings" and activities. The work environment is challenging but rewarding. We are a caring organization with room for advancement. We have Adult Day Programs in Chula Vista, La Mesa, Kearny Mesa and San Diego. 

 

We are currently hiring at the CHULA VISTA, LA MESA AND KEARNY MESA locations!

 

THE POSITION

 

The Adult Day Program Aide is responsible for the delivery of direct services of consumers and staff of the Adult Education Program. The Adult Day Program Aide assists clients in building basic living skills through community based activities, such as using public transportation, making purchases and working at a vocational site. Key duties include:

 

  • Responsible for implementation of behavioral programs.
  • Responsible for implementation of instructional programs.
  • Responsible for implementing assigned consumer schedules daily.
  • Responsible for maintaining consumer program books.
  • Responsible for completion of maintenance duties.
  • Responsible for assisting clients with various disabilities with their toileting needs.
  • Responsible for completion of consumer/program paperwork.
  • Responsible for job coaching duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Must have a High School Diploma or GED

Must be able to speak, read and write in English

Must be able to pass a criminal background check, tb and drug test, and meet COVID vaccine requirements. 

This job is very physical in nature - applicants must be able to move quickly, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted.

 

 

HOURS

 

Work hours are Mon-Fri (Mon/Wed/Fri from 8AM - 2PM) (Tue/Thu 8AM-3:15PM) a total of 32.5 hours per week.

 

PAY 

Position starts at $17.80 per hour

Please note - applicants with directly related experience and/or education may begin at a higher rate of pay.

Current Vista Hill employees in this job title for 2024 are paid $17.80 - $24.00.
