Clinical Initatives Specialist  (Full Time )
Location: Mercer County

Position Overview

The Clinical Initiatives (CI) Specialist is responsible for administrative tasks in the assigned programs within the Clinical Initiatives department. This position performs statistical analysis and provides administrative duties to support the department and its programs.

The CI Specialist will also serve as the patient’s liaison in navigating the healthcare system. The CI Specialist is accountable for coordinating the care of patients including but not limited to: scheduling patient’s appointments according to PHN scheduling and HIPAA policies, run eligibilities or obtain prior authorizations, for services that are obtained in and outside of the PHN facilities. This position is also responsible for tracking compliance for referrals and testing, requesting correspondence and performing outreach to encourage patient compliance.

Location and Hours of Position

The general office hours for this position is 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. The position is located in Sharon, PA.

Education/Experience Requirements

  •  High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior administrative experience (preferred)
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a clinical setting (preferred)

Additional Job Qualifications/Skills

  • Previous experience in management/leadership (preferred, but not required)
  • Previous experience in a Community Health Center (FQHC) (preferred, but not required)
  • Computer proficient (required)
  • Microsoft Excel proficient (Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.)
  • Data entry
  • Statistical Analysis skills
  • Previous experience with EMR (preferred but not required).
