Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company, Inc., a Kajima company, is a Hawaii-based company with roots dating back to 1902 when Walter Dillingham obtained a contract to dredge a channel into Pearl Harbor.  Since that first dredging project, Hawaiian Dredging has evolved into a leader in the construction industry with projects ranging from the building of residential and military housing, major shopping centers, hotels, resorts, condominiums, office buildings and parking structures to highways, military facilities, industrial projects and renovation and repair work in Hawaii.  Hawaiian Dredging has developed some of the finest construction professionals in Hawaii. OAHU - HR COORDINATOR  (Regular Full Time)
Location: HDCC

The Human Resource Coordinator provides support for recruiting tasks to the HR Manager.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists managers with workforce needs. Performs full life-cycle talent acquisition and recruitment functions for the Dry Dock Project.
  • Assists with facilitation of the on-boarding process.
  • Processes employment related personnel transactions, updates and maintains personnel files for employees.
  • Administrative duties - preparing various personnel statistical reports, personnel listings, employee status etc.
  • May provide interpretation of company personnel policies and procedures.
  • Responds to general HR inquiries from managers and employees related to benefits, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Assists with new-hire orientations, open enrollment and various annual compliance tasks such as EEO/AA reporting.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Knowledge of EEO regulations and employment practices
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat and document management software.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive documents and information.

REQUIRED

  • Four-year business degree or equivalent combination of training and/or related experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Location: HDCC Main office, Monday Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
  • NO RELOCATION PROVIDED
