DRY DOCK - ACCOUNTING CLERK  (Regular Full Time)
Location: HDCC

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk for our joint venture Dry Dock project located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam located on Oahu, Hawaii.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for assisting in accurately processing and recording invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payments.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviewing invoices---registering them in the company database, matching contracts, purchase orders, other backups, allocating them to various offices. Getting W-9 from new vendors and registering them in the database. Ensuring all invoices are approved and signed by appropriate managers.
  • Handling all accounts payable questions for DHOJV sites and vendors regarding payment status, etc.
  • Filing documents appropriately, expense reports are done correctly, etc.
  • Compiles information and prepares spreadsheets.
  • Performs clerical duties such as maintaining Accounting Department files.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS USED

  • Basic knowledge of accounting.
  • Ability to be flexible while managing multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in communicating both orally and written with all levels.

PREFERRED

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, business, finance or related field.
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience.
  • Proven self-starter and self-motivated to learn and grow knowledge.

Starting Salary: $50,000/yr. (non-exempt)
