Hours: 36 hours per week. Monday Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; Friday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm but may require additional hours.This positionis 100% on site.

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $32.50 per hour

Education: High School diploma/GED required. Associate's degree or higher preferred.

As a Payroll System Specialist, you will:

Collaborate with Payroll, IT and HR departments as needed to ensure integrity of the payroll data as it relates to new hires, terminations, transfer, and allocations. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot user requests or issues, resolving system and data problems.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, maintain error logs, resolve data, and interface errors.
  • Test system changes, load data and save transactions into the HRMS system.
  • Develop and/or maintain training materials for Timekeeping system.
  • Maintain and audit data in HR and Payroll databases.
  • Ensure proper configuration of all systems supported by HRMS to meet business needs.
  • Create and maintain system documentation and make recommendations for improvements to support a highly functioning HR and Payroll systems.
  • Support Payroll in implementations and roll-out activities related to the HRMS system.
  • A high level of confidentiality and accuracy is essential for success in this position.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with databases and custom report writing required.
  • Understanding of HR and payroll database design, structure, function and processes, and experience with database tools strongly preferred.
  • Excellent research, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work with confidential data in a professional manner.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office with two years of advanced experience using MS Excel and/or MS Access.
  • Ability to pass criminal/background clearance
