Clinical Consultant  (Regular Part-Time, Hourly)

Hours: 20 - 24 hours per week between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday (flexible hours and days). Remote work available after training, however candidate must be a San Diego County resident.

Pay Rate: $41.10 to $43.27 per hour

Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work or related field required

Licensure: Licensed in California as a LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW required and must be kept current throughout employment

 

As a Clinical Consultant, you will

  • Be available for legal, ethical, and clinical consultation to staff and management. Provide recommendations to team and follow each situation to ensure follow up by employees.
  • Be a clinical resource for Lead Care Managers as needed; review documentation completed by care coordinators, such as the Individualized Care Plan (ICP), Risk Assessments, and Comprehensive Assessment.
  • Facilitate access to primary care and behavioral health providers, as needed, to assist Lead Care Managers.
  • Serve as a role model for member care as well as provide hands-on assistance for staff as appropriate.
  • Foster a positive working environment amongst employees. Be available for one-on-one supervision, guidance, or debrief, as approved by management.
  • Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationships with contracted partners, as well as community health, welfare, and social agencies.
  • Report Incidents to Quality Improvement staff within 24 hours and Critical Incidents immediately.
  • Disseminate information regarding legal and ethical issues.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of two years working in social services or related setting required
  • Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) or other chronic health conditions preferred
  • Experience working with youths strongly preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
  • A valid California driver’s license in good standing and eligibility to be an approved CRF driver is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. In addition, proof of insurance is required prior to driving personal vehicles on company business.
  • Ability to pass criminal/background clearance
