Job Description

Moses Lake Outreach Specialist  (Full Time)
Select Location: Moses Lake

Position Overview:

The Program Outreach Specialist 1 will provide outreach to potential participants that seek OIC services as well as a community partner services. The person in this position will perform outreach across the Grant and Adams counties to educate and refer clients to these programs. The person in this position must be able to clearly communicate the requirements and goals of the program to participants and assist them with scheduling and assessment to receive services through these programs. This position is 90% outreach outside of the office and 10% office for reporting and data entry.

  • Develops and provide community outreach presentations.
  • Complete a comprehensive assessment and take interview for potential participants both in person and via telephone to the treatment eligibility for program services.
  • Participate in outreach focus groups and attend local trainings related to outreach.
  • Attends community meetings and outreach opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with other outreach teams to maximize outreach efforts through the county.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of outreach contacts made and services provided.
  • Create and utilize informal community networks, as needed to locate resources, and make referrals, as necessary.
  • Inform program manager of any unusual events which may occur and document the incident per agency policy.
  • Make necessary notifications when required to law enforcement, supervisors, and other appropriate individuals.
  • Ensure all paperwork and related activities are current, accurate, and in compliance in the timely manner includes all reports required for billing.
  • Attend all staff meetings, in service trainings, and supervision meetings.
  • Maintain flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekend shifts. Notify supervisor of the potential of overtime (which is not allowed) weekly. Work week is Sunday through Saturday with a maximum of 40 hours per week. Work with other program team members to reach monthly goals for enrollment into the programs.
  • Participate in daily debrief sessions weekly supervisory and/or staff meetings training, and development opportunities as determined appropriate by the program director.
  • Keep abreast of OIC of WA organization policies and procedures and keep the program director apprised of any concerns regarding upset clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA degree in Social Services
  • 2 years of experience in Social Services
  • 2 years in providing direct client supportive services


  • A combination of education and experience in lieu of educational requirements



Wage: $18.84 per hour
