Back to Category List Available Positions > Job Description GED Instructor 1 (P/T-POOL) - Yakima, Moses Lake, Othello (Part Time) The intent of the pools is to create a list of qualified applicants who are interested in teaching General Education on a temporary part-time basis As a Skills Instructor, you will teach basic and independent living skills activities and provide direct instruction for individuals with various learning aptitudes. The Skills Instructor will conduct assessments and occupational evaluations across a variety of disciplines including, but not limited to energy conservation, STEAM learning, career exploration, resource research, nutrition, socio-emotional/coping skills, budgeting, digital literacy, and basic law/civics education. They will provide students with entry-level knowledge to support students with becoming self-sufficient and the knowledge to be a community, family, and self-advocate. They will provide program completers with certificates of completion and refer them to the Education and Career Services Department.
