HR Recruitment Specialist - Yakima  (Full Time)

Position Overview:

The HR Recruitment Specialist position will be responsible for the recruitment of all position vacancies throughout the organization. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent customer services skills and the ability to show compassion and patience with our customer service base and our staff. This position is responsible for the recruitment and onboarding of all positions within OIC of WA. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills (English/Spanish preferred), attention to detail.  This position will also be the liaison between management and the applicants during the scheduling of interviews. Will refer all on-boarding requests to the HR Coordinator who provides the job offer.  This position will also be responsible for coordinating and scheduling all interviews.

Essential Functions:

  1. Will post all vacant positions on various recruitment platforms.
  2. Will provide agency wide notice of all vacant positions.
  3. Seeks out, registers, and attends all local and regional job fairs.
  4. Reaches out to local colleges this includes any technical college in the areas.
  5. Will update flyers, internal HR web pages and other outreach materials.
  6. Must track and document all requests to post positions, re-open and close positions.
  7. Reviews applications and forwards them to the HR team and Hiring team for their consideration.
  8. Schedules all face to face or virtual interviews via email and or phone call.
  9. Answering all emails and phone calls from applicants.
  10. Provides hire offer to candidate and establishes the start date.
  11. Sends follow up letter to interviewees who were not hired.
  12. Will conduct background screening and reference checks on all applicants who have been offered a position.
  13. Provides update to HR team and Hiring Team as to the status of the offer.
  14. Coordinates with the HR team to complete the complete the onboarding process.
  15. Uses recruitment software to track the progress of interviewees through the hiring process.
  16. Other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications: 

  • AA degree in Human Resources or Related Field

  • 2 years experience in General HR


  • Human Resource Certificate and years of experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements 

Salary Pay Range for this position is: $18.84-$24.56 per hr.
