SouthCoast Health Imaging Center is looking for a Mammography Supervisor with Breast Registry
sign on bonus $7,500
Relcoation Reimbursement up to $5,000
JOB SUMMARY:The Mammography Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of all Breast Imaging Services. Facilitates work between the Imaging Center and the Radiologist. This is a working supervisor position and working as a Mammographer daily is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in the hiring process, staff scheduling, annual evaluations, competencies and disciplinary process within mammography department.
- Responsible for compliance with MSQA, FDA and ACR regulations, policy and procedures. Monitors and promotes referring physician and patient satisfaction.
- Maintains daily operation of Imaging Breast Center
- Strictly follows all MQSA, FDA, Medicare and Georgia State laws regarding Imaging
- Responsible for MQSA, FDA, and ACR inspections and preparedness
- Oversees QA personnel and their job functions to insure accuracy in reporting
- Maintains examination schedule in the most productive manner with a balance of clinical
- Responsibility shared between staff , Delegates special work assignments when volumes allow
- Maintains mammography equipment in efficient operating condition
- Insures and records completeness of required documents of licensure, certification and registration as related to section
- Coordinates repair and maintenance of equipment in a manner not to impact patient care, productivity
- Communicates on regular basis with radiologists on the best approach to tailor examination to clinical need
- Understands and is capable of working reports from RIS Dashboards that pertain to mammography exams, and procedures performed in the Breast Center
- Provide ongoing support and supervision for staff including coaching, motivating, evaluating, and disciplining
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of basic mammographic procedures, protocol, methods and techniques.
- Knowledge of latest trends and techniques in mammographic technology.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform testing including body mechanics and patient movement.
- Knowledge of equipment including common safety hazards.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when conducting or assisting with diagnostic ultrasound procedures which occupies approximately 90% of work time.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Which occupies approximately 50% of work time when assisting and positioning body parts or handling/transporting supplies.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school. Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education.
REQUIREMENTS:
Professional registry for modality employed in, when mandated by Federal or section certifications or registry eligible (i.e. RT (R)(M)(BR)). Must maintain continued education (CE) credits as required and maintain currency of BLS/CPR certification.
