Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Full Time)

SouthCoast Health is looking for a Part-Time Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner for our Surgery Department (1 day per week)

Provides medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician. Educates patients and patient families. Performs scope of work as outlined in state guidelines, laws, rules and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assess patient health status including state of wellness, compliance with care plan and determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Provides acute and chronic patient care including taking histories, doing physicals, monitoring effective therapies, giving injections and medications.
Triage patient phone calls to facilitate patient care delivery.
Transmitting treatment plans to supervising physician for reviews.
Communicate with collaborating physician regarding employee care

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

NP-Masters degree in Nursing.Successful completion of accredited nurse practitioner program in specialty of family practice/internal medicine (as required to perform duties. Minimum of three (3) years professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus one year of nurse practitioner experience preferred.

PA- BA/BS, Masters preferred. Graduate of AMA accredited physician assistant program. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a physician assistant, preferably in clinic setting.

REQUIREMENTS:

Current GA NP/PA licensure. Current BLS/ACLS CPR Certification.Certification from an accredited credentialing body.EEO, DFW, MFVD
