The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is an assembly of the hierarchy of the Catholic Church in the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The purpose of the Conference is to promote the greater good which the Church offers humankind. The bishops themselves constitute the membership of the Conference and are served by a staff of approximately 315 lay people, priests, deacons, and religious, located at the Conference headquarters in Washington, DC, with branch offices in Miami, FL and Rome.
The Conference is organized as a corporation in the District of Columbia. Its purposes under civil law are: "To unify, coordinate, encourage, promote and carry on Catholic activities in the United States; to organize and conduct religious, charitable and social welfare work at home and abroad; to aid in education; to care for immigrants; and generally to enter into and promote by education, publication and direction the objects of its being."

Administrative Assistant/ Data Researcher (Full Time)
Provides administrative, data management, research, and customer service support to the Office of National Collections Promotions unit at United States Conference of Catholic Bishops contributes to the Bishops’ strategic plan for the Conference. Processes donations from individuals and dioceses, entering gifts into Dynamics 365 database, and preparing deposit forms for the accounting department with attention to detail. Prepares and edits donor acknowledgment letters for dioceses, institutions, and individual donations. Maintains database with accurate information for diocesan staff and donors
This position is the primary customer service contact for inquiries regarding contributions and marketing materials, creating and editing reports, and data visualization, analysis, and generation of customized data reports. Assists with execution and analysis of national survey efforts focused on Catholic Giving, including survey preparation, data collection, data analysis. Coordinates promotional and newsletter mailings and distribution of sample products as needed. Responsible for maintaining unit administrative, financial, donor, and campaign/project files.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Major Field/Specialty: Communications, Business Administration, Information Technology, Development, Marketing, or Accounting
Other Specialized Training: (e.g. word processing, personal computer, knowledge of Catholic Church, etc.)
Number of Years Required: Minimum: 1-2 years in a related field
