Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) - Per Diem  (PRN (Per Diem))
Location: Kennett Square, PA

Kendal~Crosslands Communities, a continuing care retirement community located in Kennett Square, PA has an opening for a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) for our Resident Care Departments.  Those interested must be flexible to work at Kendal located at 1109 E. Baltimore Pike and at Crosslands located at 1660 E. Street Road.  This position is per diem and would require filling in during the week as well as occasional hours on Saturday mornings.

Essential Function:  Promotes and restores Residents’ health by managing their clinical, medical and psychosocial needs within the practice guidelines of advanced nursing practice.

Qualifications & Experience:  Master’s Degree in Nursing.  Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  At least five years acute and/or long term care experience as a Registered Nurse and 1 year recent experience as an Acute Care, Adult-Gero or Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. 

Ability to obtain a current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration. Current Prescriptive Authority approval by the Commonwealth of PA.

Ability to relate and communicate well with older people.  Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.  Demonstrate knowledge and skills in health histories, physical and psycho social assessments, emergency treatment, initiating treatment, ordering appropriate laboratory tests, x-rays.  Demonstrates strong leadership skills.
