Utility Worker  (Full Time)
Location: Mitchellville, MD

Collington, A Kendal Affiliate ( is a premier full-service not-for-profit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) located in Mitchellville Maryland.  Collington offers superior care and service to its residents in 330 independent living homes and apartments, 65 assisted living apartments, and a 44-skilled nursing bed health center.   Located on a beautiful 125-acre campus, Collington is known for its peaceful campus featuring native trees, rolling lawns, a six-acre lake, walking trails and exquisite gardens.

Position Summary:

The utility worker performs various kitchen activities including, but not limited to, pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies. This position maintains the daily temperature and chemical parts per million logs to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes. The utility worker is responsible for the overall cleanliness and order of the kitchen during peak operational hours.


Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent

No prior work experience is necessary for this role

§  Must be able to stand and walk 90% of the workday.

§  Ability to stoop, bend and stretch frequently in small tight areas.

§  Must be able to lift, carry, push and hold up to 60 pounds

§  Must have a command and proficiency of the English language.

§  Exposure to industrial cleaning chemicals and hot water temperatures regularly.
