Recreation: Facilities Monitor  (Part Time)
Location: Groton

POSITION:Facilities Monitor

Parks and Recreation Department

Thrive 55+ and Recreation Divisions

Part-Time, up to 19 hours/week

STARTING RATE (Current): $16.00 / hour

POSITION RANGE (Current):$16.00 $16.50 / hour

STARTING RATE (Effective 7/1/24):$18.00 / hour

POSITION RANGE (Effective 7/1/24):$18.00 $19.00 / hour

POSITION OVERVIEW &REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The Facilities Monitor monitors public activity in and around Town buildings to include, but not limited to: monitoring for activity that could lead to injury or

damage; adherence and promotion of department policies and procedures; assisting with event set-up/breakdown; program registrations; and closing the

facility. Must be able to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, possibility of additional hours on an as needed basis.

Work experience with people of all age groups in a responsible capacity required, including positive customer service skills and problem-solving capability.

Must have computer program experience. Cash handling experience is a plus. Mechanical aptitude and some security experience preferred. This position

includes custodial responsibilities. Physical demands of the job include ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty

(50) pounds.

The individual hired for this position may have hours at both the Groton Community Center and Thrive 55+ Active Living Center. Must possess and maintain

a valid Motor Vehicle Operators license.
