Aquatics: Program Coordinator-Swimming Instructor  (Part Time)
Location: Groton

POSITION: Program Coordinator, Swimming Instructor

Parks and Recreation Department

Part-Time, up to 11 hours per week, Saturday and/or Sunday                         

 

STARTING RATE (Current): $16.00 / hour

POSITION RANGE (Current): $16.00 – $16.50 / hour

STARTING RATE (Effective 7/1/24): $17.00 / hour

POSITION RANGE (Effective 7/1/24): $17.00 – $18.00 / hour

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & OVERVIEW:

The Swimming Instructor leads swimming lessons.  Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to pool safety; strong swimming ability; Ability to accept direction and to develop and maintain respect and discipline from the general public and ability to develop a cooperative relationship with associates.  For swim instructors, certification as a Water Safety Instructor (WIS) by American Red Cross or comparable standards preferred.
